Sunday Meetings
Our services are at 10am and 6pm and generally last around 90 minutes. We have a full program for Children within in our morning service.
In our services we will spend some time worshipping God in song. The words of those songs help us to focus on who God is and the role he plays in our lives. We will spend some time in prayer as a whole Church, praying for needs that have been expressed by people who are in the service. We believe that prayer makes a difference to the situations and by bringing them to God we can take comfort from knowing that he cares about all our needs. We may also take communion. This is when we use bread and wine as symbols to help us remember and focus upon the death and resurrection of Jesus.
There will be a message brought by one of the leaders of the Church. The aim is to enable us to think about how our faith should be applied to our everyday life: Christianity is not a Sunday hobby, but a lifestyle of faith and relationship with God. There may be opportunity for prayer at the end of the message where we respond in some way to the message that we have heard.
Christianity is a faith lived in relationship with God, and with each other and so after our service concludes we invite people to stay for a while and to get to know some people over a cup of tea or coffee.
Our children are taught age specific material in three different classes: Flints (18 months- end of foundation year at school); Sparks (School year 1 – 4); and Fireflies (School year 5 – 9). We have a system for registering and collecting your children from their ministry in order to provide a safe environment for them and all our Children and youth leaders are CRB police checked.
If you are planning a visit to ECC why not drop us an email at Info@rotherham-elim.org so that we can look out for you on the weekend.
