We are so glad to have you with us. Whether you're already part of our Church looking up diary dates, looking for a new Church in Rotherham or simply what to know more about as, we welcome you. We want you to feel at home with us wherever you have come from and whoever you are.
Elim Christian Centre, Rotherham is part of the Elim Pentecostal Movement, which was founded by George Jefferys in 1915. It now has some 500 Churches throughout the British Isles, a large training college and overseas workers in many parts of the world.
The Rotherham Church was founded some 80 years ago and moved its meeting place several times before coming to Effingham Street in 2001. After initially renting the building we finally bought it in September 2002.
Our Church is a thriving and we hope friendly church. It is very varied and has something for everyone – from the youngest to the oldest there is something to get involved in.
There is however one linking theme which runs through all that we do, and that is our common experience of Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Our desire is to make this real in our worship, in our living and in our sharing together. Our Church mission statement is, ‘A family who love God and want to share His love through His Son Jesus Christ' .
Some who read this will share these convictions; others will be engaged in searching for ‘truth'.
